Trip Planner: South America / Colombia / Magdalena Department / Santa Marta District / Santa Marta / Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona
A magical spot where the jungle meets the sea, Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona remains one of Colombia's leading outdoor attractions largely thanks to its pristine nature. The national park offers a diverse range of landscapes, including arid brown lands in the west, rainforest in the center, and sandy beaches along the coastal north. While the water looks extremely inviting, many beaches--especially those marked with red flags--remain unsafe for swimming due to strong currents. If you're visiting the coastline in high season, prepare for big crowds and long lines in front of restaurants and facilities. Its beaches are beautiful, very quiet, perfect place to unwind and spend your days with total tranquility. It is worth spending a few days to visit all the beaches and the jungle. I recommend staying at the Cabo San Juan campsite.
It's wonderful!! A bit overpriced but I guess is the price you have to pay to enjoy this beautiful of the earth. You have electricity during X times. I think it's a natural park but NOT ECO-FRIENDLY AT ALL. Sooooo much plastic - it's true they recycle it all but still they should have other ways to serve the products.
