Victoria Park, Hong Kong

3.8
#14 of 140 in Parks in Hong Kong
In the city center of Hong Kong island, Victoria Park serves as a hub for culture, athletics, and history. Active visitors may use the tennis courts, swimming pool, bowling green, basketball courts, football pitches, and playgrounds. Hobbyists often take their remote-controlled boats to drive them on pools of water throughout the park, too. Look for the famous statue of Queen Victoria at the main entrance on Causeway Road in addition to other figures. This attraction also provides the stage of many large events like political gatherings, the City Forum each Sunday, and art and culture exhibits. • This is definitely the VISITE to do in Hong Kong if you are there for a few days or even 2 days. Take the subway to Central, along the avenues that will take you to the Peak TRAM (between hyper modern buildings and small green squares). In the evening it's better because you can enjoy the sunset and the warm colors that are reflected in the city. Take the ticket to the high terrace to admire the view of this modern and traditional megacity. Linger in the mall and then take the path that will lead you to an ancient temple to re-admire the first electric lights on the city that will gradually light up.

  • Victoria Park is a wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of downtown HK for 30 minutes to an hour. I love how there is regular tai chi going on in the park, which adds to the sense of peace ...  more »

  • Victoria Park is the most popular and connected leisure park which consist of various versatile recreational facilities and can be used as big scaled gathering places and show rooms. This park is in some way comparable to the Botanical and Zoological Garden both of these are situated on the Hong Kong Island. A fine and good spot indeed which is worthy of frequent visits to enjoy the open air !
  • Very local bustling park and recreation area. Sundays more or less taken over by the domestic helpers from Indonesia. Early mornings happen group dancing and Tai chi exercise, mainly by more senior people. Definitely worth a stroll to take in the activities happening.
