VanDusen Botanical Garden Reviews
One can easily spend an entire day at this park - though we scurried through in about 2-3 hours, it would have been nicer to go a bit slower and take in the presentation more fully. There are some int... more »

Beautiful tranquil garden that is about 55 acres. Make sure to bring a big water bottle, some snacks, some sort of camera, and practical walking shoes. You might want to pack a picnic, but try not to carry too much stuff since you'll be doing lots of walking. There are some restaurants, a gift shop, a hedge maze, vegetable garden, rose garden, rock garden, Japanese garden, water features and more. This is a great place to see the beauty of nature.
Went early in the morning to avoid crowds and it was a great idea. The time we went, it was rose season, so the rose garden was heaven. There were less flowers in the rest of the park, except for magnolias, but it was still very enjoyable. I appreciate the fact that most plants are identified despite the park being huge. I suggest to really explore every corner of the park be cause there are hidden ones too! So be aware! The cafeteria there offers good food. Not expensive, but not cheap either.
