  • We spent 5 hours here listening to the tapes of the sequence of events of July 1995. How did we (the UN and peace keeping forces) let this happen again. I had never realised the extent of the genocide...  more »
  • This beautiful museum offers a poignant overview with very nice pictures about the massacre which took place only a 20tal years ago. The testimonies are very gripping.

  • The gallery might be small as some of the reviews pointed out, HOWEVER with the amazing audioguide, the films and the interactive screens you can spend many hours learning about the horrifying and appalling tragedy of the genocide. There's also an incredible movie titled " miss Sarajevo" portraying the everyday life as well as a bit of counterculture during the siege of Sarajevo using only original footage. All the incredible photographs as well as the original video footage and the informative (albeit horrifying) information from the audioguide have left a deep and unforgettable impression on me. During my stay in Bosnia and Herzogovina I have been trying to learn as much as possible about the conflict in the 90s and this museum was a real eye-opener. Do not miss while in Sarajevo and do absolutely get the audio guide (it's 3 additional KM and available in many languages). Thank you to the museum for preserving the memory of these tragic events!
  • A place to remember the sad history of the war that the country suffered. Is a small site but the composition and the structure engage the viewer. Really the structure, the narrative and the speech very well achieved to comunnicate the tragedy of Bosnia War.
