Explore Angola's wildlife at Parque Nacional do Quicama, established as a game reserve in the 1930s. Sandwiched between the Cuanza and Longa Rivers, the park encompasses 120 km (75 mi) of the Atlantic Ocean's coast and features diverse vegetation ranging from mangrove forests to dense woods and savannahs with plenty of cacti and baobab trees. Part of the largest animal transplant in history, the park is currently being repopulated by elephants and other animals from Botswana and South Africa. The weak point is that the service offered for the Safari tour is not in condition. The cars are careless and maintenance-free.
Os passeios ao parque encontram-se desorganizados e com muito pouca informação. O guia que vai no camião deveria dar mais informações e explicações. Animais viram-se meia dúzia se tanto more »The tours to the Park are disorganized and with very little information. The guide that will the truck should give more information and explanations. Animals were a half-dozen if both
Worth the visit - For guaranteed view of animals need to arrive at park location no later than 6:30-7:00 am. From entrance gate by the road you will have some 30-40 kms in a bumpy road to arrive to the inside spot to start your tour..
The park needs better driving roads and the management needs to fix the park trucks. The truck broke down while we were around the animals. They also need more workers driving to make sure people don't break down on the road to the safari also so no one won't get lost. Other than that it was good to see a different side of Angola.
